Garage Floor Epoxy in Boise, Idaho
Durable, clean, and built to last — installed by a local owner‑operator team.
A Better Garage Floor Starts With Proper Prep
Every long‑lasting floor comes down to two things being done right: moisture mitigation and prep. If either one is done wrong, the coating won’t last. I make sure both are handled correctly from the start.
Moisture Testing
Boise is a dry climate, but moisture issues still caN happen. I always test the slab before grinding. If a moisture vapor barrier is needed, I’ll know before we start. A lot of companies skip this step, which I think is risky.
Professional Grinding
I use an 800‑lb SASE propane grinder, one of the top machines in the industry. After the main grind, I hand‑grind all edges, so the coating bonds evenly across the entire floor.
My Diamapro triple‑motor HEPA vacuum keeps dust to a minimum and leaves the slab clean and ready for coating.
The Coating System We Recommend
Since I’m a small, local independent company, I’m not locked into any one brand. I can use whatever product a client prefers. But for garages, the system that performs best is:
- 100% solids epoxy base coat
- 100% solids polyaspartic topcoat
The simple way to think of this is we open the pours of the concrete, and the base coat will then soak into the surface. The longer the base coat soaks into the concrete the stronger the bone. Epoxy cures slower than polyurea or polyaspartic, which means it absorbs deeper into the concrete after grinding. The deeper it absorbs, the stronger it locks in.
Flake Options
Most garage floors use a full‑broadcast flake system for durability, traction, and a clean finished look. I carry all the popular blends and can match any color style you’re looking for. We even offer custom flake colors or designs.
